Boo. Not hard to make a bunch-of-noobs settlement on a fresh world but I think the thrill of it is the danger, lots of death, and stuff.
Speaking of which, I joined with a fresh char, decided to boat out a little away from the place and joined some 2 nice guys We've been doing good so far.
