Hmm. Could have sworn someone complained about sign punching from Ainran or something. Well, NVM then.

It's quiet in effective compared to inherit flaws in the combat system.

Stick a fork in me. I like it that way ;) . Good night.

emotional and men are men...

AGAIN:The very reason none of us plays is all the stuff we mention. This is an environment where only noobs or raiders or bagousers can thrive. That has nothing to do anymore with the sandbox developing all kinds of social environments. So, not us but you probably cannot contribute anything to this thread.

Also you and LadyGoo in particular should stop mixing your in game experiences this world with the general debate that is going on here about the game going downhill because of a lack of dev intervention.

You may or may not be part of the problem (I know you Ainran guys usually play fair and so does NNN), but it is pretty hard to distinguish because those ruining the game and you are taking very similar routes.

Edit: Both your writers blow.

Uh.. I understand that nobody cares, but really, the very reason I'm not playing now is that the game doesn't offer any possibilities for exploring or achieving something new for me. Currently. But I think if someone could erase my memory I could get some (doubt the same ofc) fun as a newbie and the game could get me hooked for some time.

someone i know has been telling me there are a few players who had their HFs inside Al-Qaeda before this incident, who have been raiding and griefing around, are still alive and have moved their HFs to a few vaults far like good hours away. (one of them called KFC lol Kentucky Fried Chicken?)
im wondering if they are the NNN spies so that they didnt get killed by this, or if any of those portgas mates got away with this fate of NNN revenge, so-to-call, laughing and still having fun.

can someone confirm either on this?

how about starting your comment on this↑ i posted last night, Goo?
how about any of you Ainran guys? got any comments or info on it?
or anyone else who are playing?

We haven't actively tracked anyone from Al-Qaeda so i honestly have no idea.

There are two points that need to be made here.

1. Account stealing is not a bug. It is a symptom of the same problem however, people going outside of the normal rules of the game in order to win. In both cases people are doing everything they can to get an advantage, all else be damned. Bug abuse : account stealing :: sneezing : throwing up. I doubt one leads to the other in all cases, but both are signs of internal sickness to one degree.

2. Yes, you have seen bugs used. You've used them yourself. Whether it's using the leather cart bug, the unlimited fire in a house bug, destroying your hearth fire to teleport somewhere for free, or just using a client that allows you to turn off darkness so you can see in caves without using lights. Everyone uses bugs to some degree in order to make life easier. You can't be blamed for it. It's never punished. It does nothing but help you. Everyone else is doing it, and not doing it put you at a disadvantage. And that my friend is the point.

You see, by not using bugs, you can't do as well as someone who does use bugs all else equal. Sure some people use more, some people use less. Sometimes that is because one person knows more bugs than another, sometimes that is because one person is willing to do more to get the advantage than the other. There is too much "You jump over walls!" "Oh yeah, well one time you ate at a magic table!" in this thread. This isn't the point. It's not about accusing one another. EVERYONE USES BUGS TO METAGAME. The problem is that we have reached the point where people metagame more than they game, and steal accounts or pay off people to betray their alliance. This is not good for the community, this is not good for the game, and this is not good for the developers. People who hack and cheat WILL do better than people who don't, all else equal. If Portagas hadn't screwed up by tipping his hand early, he could have destroyed the entire Russian playerbase in one night had he waited. Hell, if the client spread to the English forum, he could have taken complete control.

This is not what the game should be known for. This is not what people should have to do in order to compete. If someone is trying to hack you, and the devs won't do anything, the only things you can do are quit, pray, or try to hack them first. Replace the word "hack" with "Abuse tables, abuse wall jumping, building chaterstones, etc" and you will have exactly what is wrong with the game.

Jorb and Loftar MUST return to punishing people for abuse or it will get worse. If they can not or will not do this, then they must shut down the game until they can, let it become so broken even you new people will recognize it.

You make me sad. :<

I am doubly sad if you think the only people who matter are the ones who talk a lot, you're smarter than that.

The people who stopped playing seem to be, overwhelmingly, players who prefer to play the game because of the social aspect; running a village, diplomacy, politics, being part of a village or starting one up, rather than players who play for the purely PvP adrenaline-rush side of H&H.

That's spot on. I've never played other MMOs because they're dull gankfests. Don't get me wrong, I like mindless violence as much as the next gamer, but I think it should be left to FPS games because they're vastly superior to RPGs when it comes to this. The thing that got me hooked on H&H and IMO *the* thing that made H&H unique was that violence had to be backed by statesmanship, ie the game was a battle of the wits rather than the reflexes. But this aspect of H&H has died long ago, and it's completely faded away from the playerbase's collective memory, so I can understand how people see Burg and me as whiners without a point.
