I remember a world four Valten telling me that if I even thought of botting, he would kill and exile me. I see you've really changed, man.

You just notice that now? Not last world when we were in Pandemonium? Was I supposed to kill burgingham at the tournament/feast for using the stamina bot? I have changed, more tolerable to bots, due to as Arvin said, them being widely accepted. If I didn't, I would be a bitter man like JooJoo.

Burgi used a stamina bot? :|

Nothing wrong with being a bitter old man, seems that's what you've become anyway. :?

What if this thread was an elaborate bait set up by dastardly ponypeople with the preconceived notion of creating another Narnia/Dis circlejerk!

Botting is only accepted currently because it's really the only way to keep up, besides having a massive support base going 24/7. Having a massive support base going 24/7 and botting is really just game breaking. Sure, it makes it so that you can do all the things you like, without being bored with the tedium. However, what's the point? All reward, no trials and tribulations?

Well thats just not true, there is not a single bot at ninedragons yet they manage to keep up and, for the most part, ahead in quality, there is even straight line mining.

And as for people who bot ever possible thing, whats the point in even playing if you dont actually do anything? you just let your silk bots, your farming bots, your mining bots and you combat bots do all the work? then you complain about being bored with the game :|

No bot that I've seen does things like that. You can farm a bunch of tiles in your wax farm while looking at the forum r whatnot, but if you want to raise quality for the entire field you better pop in every 2 minutes to sort through your carrots and so on. My point is that bots aren't too automatic in nature, sure you can starve bot or farm bot or even fill your barrels from a well with the help of a bot, but leaving them on 24/7 is not an option for most things (frog/dragonfly bots/study bots excluded) as they still require some amount of user input. I for one still think farming is a bit tedious, even with all the bots.

The point is, I don't actually feel like doing work when playing a game, and some aspects of the game, such as farming remind me way too much of drone work for me to enjoy it. I enjoy scheming, planning, projects and occasional PvP enounters. Botting is not a fully automatic solution (at least not the bots I have access to, or have made), it still requires user input, which makes it less like drone work.

If I give you my point of view... I enjoy very much to breed cows and raise q up. To do that you need to feed them, to feed them you need to raise q of fodders and to do that you need to regulary farm so you keep q of crops above q of cows as high as possible. And If i want to do other things aswell such as trees, silk, mining, trading, then those simple chores become too much time consuming. Yes I could stop doing them, but its what I like to do, so I can't stop or I'd quit (not that it would be bad to).

So while I'm mining (without bots) or doing silk (without bots), my char harvests beets and fills troughs. I also don't see point in loggin' in 5 chars and have them all on auto, so I always do something with one and "help" with other things with bot.

exactly, but instead of bots, isnt it better just to have village members do it for you, or at least help you with it? it would seem that if everyone thought that way then there would be no villages. Just a bunch of hermitages running bots.
