Had none of the above and also lived in an otherwise entirely uninhabited area. Deadlift and CFR gave me the hermitage and they had made sure nobody else around was alive to snoop around. Was a bit unlucky you guys had some ram up shortly after I moved in at a town close to my hermit place. So you drove past it everytime you went to that siege I believe.

For the instantly whining guys who constantly claim I bot my characters.
Image
The stuff I feed my alts, btw. Only mantles and toadstools (both weight like 6k lp as max btw) came from forager alts.
Yes, I use farmer bots, like most of the factions do. No, I do not feed all the characters with food, except for my main one (and use starving bot only, which was used by Ainran as well). I log into my alts only once a day, few times a day on my main character. I spend only 2 days per week to renew curiosities.
Everyone bots and etc, and I do not use any different bots. The major difference is just in organization/scale and self-discipline in reaching what I aim for.

Many things that are botted now should be part of the UI or game mechanics. Not nearly all though mind you. The rest needs some kind of bot protection as hard as that might be. Randomization of processes etc.

Currently some things could be completely eliminated and the game would really be no different other than the time needed to do the task. If everyone is botting farming, farming may as well be one loading bar for the entire process that takes longer the bigger the field size and one giant harvested item rather than hundreds of individual ones. Really in the end it's all going to get farmed out and it's all going to be stored/troughed in the end. It just cuts out the botting process. I'm not saying I'm for this but atm I see no difference in it.

As it is, yes. It's basically the same task over and over again, You can only do it so many times before you just baylife it with the bots which give you the same result if you had done it by hand in the first place.

There is a good thread somewhere about the farming system and about a possible revamp eg. Making flour stored in silo's and sacks rather then having 1 flour unit (wtf), If someone could find the thread if would be nice :D would it solve the problem with botting fields? I'm not sure... But in all honesty I don't find the botting fields as bad as people seem to say it is, It has a limit and you can only farm so much... But yeah... Making farming a little more involved and interesting would be a start :)

Even if one unit of a crop is worth more in a trough it wouldn't require so much space/storage to farm successfully. A large portion of my plot is just crops to feed the cows after all...

I actually have a bigger issue with foraging bots and mining bots (for troll skulls). I don't use a farming bot to farm at all (i did in world 5 and the start of world 6, and i could certainly see why people use them because farming sucks). But foraging bots are just a bit absurd. It's partly because of the ease of teleporting to swamps to forage, but other then that i don't really see a way of fixing it.

Also, @ladygoo, we killed your foraging alt in that swamp. Do i need to look for the chat logs of you saying which swamp your bot was running in? That is how we found it after all. I'm sure you find your fair share of bluebells that way. :P. Either way, it's not important.

Surely all the abacii giving 50k lp, steeds (40k), stuffed bears and etc. were foraged by alts. =O
