Sure, lets just agree to disagree [on some things.] I guess we maybe shouldn't have had this discussion here, but I'm lame and could never bear to give in before giving my side of an argument...

anyway, hows Brodgar? i would think food & crafted curios would be the best things to sell in a barterstand in the long term, although basic tools (like shovels, picks, metal saws) might useful too.

maybe you could even have a system where you could "sell" a tool for X, and then people could "sell" the tool in another stand and get X back...

(i remember there were some weird restrictions on what X could be, can't remember what things weren't allowed anymore)

You two are playing semantics. Grim knows what Gunnar means when he communicates his views, so it is absolutely pointless to argue over the exact details of the meaning of specific words. Words have no absolute meaning, they are simply used to communicate ideas to each other, and if such is done effectively, then language has served its purpose.

Ya'll need to stop being so serious.
The general definition of HAVEN AND HEARTH anarcho-communism (From my experience) is a system that lacks a central government and where goods can be freely taken and used by anyone. Hoarding is discouraged by the other players as a whole. The goal is that everyone wants to share with everyone.

That was exactly what I said... but the communication of ideas was clearly not being done effectively ^^

no, its not, we just think that communism means different things.

You know, initially really I was talking to you... you seemed to have a nice idea of a certain type of utopia, but were saying it was impossible due to human nature. what i really wanted to say is that it is very possible to have that, especially in haven, and that Wyrmhold was one example. I don't know if it is possible in Brodgar though, what with the interference of external powers and the presumably weaker ties between people due to the larger population.

I get that basically no-one wants to read this stuff. I do think that ideology is important though. If anyone does actually want to talk about it, pm me I guess. I've been trying to stop posting in this thread about this for basically the whole of the discussion ^^.
