I'm not aware of them ever killing anyone while trading.

There was an accident when a thief from other SG tried to escape entering to the SG. People who do not live in the SG do not have immunity* if they commited a crime. However, the ones who live in vaults in the SG and commit crimes there is no immunity and fair justice for them.

by "do not live in the supergrid" do you mean people without their hf in that grid?
also define "vault", or do you reserve the right to deny these people brickwalls?

How nice, considering

LadyGoo wrote:As for gatherable resources, in case of over population of the SG, obviously, you will need to be in other SG. We adwise using special forager/hunter alts in order preventing your main characters getting killed.

Newbies don't have enough resources to be constantly training alts because your stormtroopers kill them in nextdoor grids...

LadyGoo wrote:As was said few times before, only Dis&Ainran, their allies, guys who helped with bricks and trusted villages like Emerald city will have an access. :P

So this is only a trading center for the (many) newbies on the reservation and your allies? I guess trade is the new battlefield due to your military successes ;), its a decent attempt at improving your trade dominance, but due to the ease of idol porting trade, i'm not sure it will work. Would have been more interesting if you could manage to negotiate with your enemies/competitors to have a neutral zone.

I liked this idea at first, but sorry, its becoming more and more boring/confusing to me. I'm not really sure how the same group who is killing newbies all over the world can declare one zone safe, but perhaps it's just to increase trade. In that case it would be better to have them spread out over a wider area though, since then you can get more flotsams/pearls...

anyway, i'm still looking on with interest, and hope that the newbies prosper in the way that they want, even if i do not quite understand the motivation for dis/ainran to do this.

I do mean people who do not have their hf in the SG. What do I mean by vaults can be seen in this topic - viewtopic.php?f=29&t=24098.

It is the way how it is. In comparison with the situation which was before it's a way better. We're helping people there, performing investigations and etc. 4-5 times criminals in the SG were given opportunity to talk, return stuff back and etc.
My people agreed with the idea of 1 peaceful SG because it's just 1 SG, not entire world. Otherwise we'd declare ourselves as white knights and second Sodom which we are not going to do. Probably, after a month we'll do another preservation in another SG.
This law was created because of discussion of an actual situation happened in the SG. When Ainranians were traking a guy, went to his hometown, and the guy ported to the SG to safe himself. Any suggestions how else should we act in this cases? :D
So this is only a trading center for the (many) newbies on the reservation and your allies?

As it was said multiple times before, there is a barter stand zone brickwalled + public area without a brickwall (Nople in W3). Barter stands do not play a large role in trading, which is evident for any experienced player. There is a chance that stuff in the zone might be stolen, nooone will buy it and etc. So, like in the Nople of W3 the major trades will be performed via the public cr.
its a decent attempt at improving your trade dominance, but due to the ease of idol porting trade, i'm not sure it will work. Would have been more interesting if you could manage to negotiate with your enemies/competitors to have a neutral zone.
Well, it was working in previous world. Why shouldn't work this time? I'd prefer by myself to port, rather than open few windows to get stuff I need. Also, it was said before that even enemies can be in the trading center without risk being attacked (althought they're being tracked). But... as we do know some of enemies hate us really badly, we cannot provide them crs into the barter stand area. I guess, it's understandable if to try to look at the situation from our side. If we'll do the zone open for everyone, the place will suffer like the previous trading center from thievery and vandalism. It is the only way this part of game can be alive.
I'm not really sure how the same group who is killing newbies all over the world can declare one zone safe, but perhaps it's just to increase trade. In that case it would be better to have them spread out over a wider area though, since then you can get more flotsams/pearls...
And it was said before we do not need to make slaves or whatever since our warriors are more in numbers, twice better equipped and have twice better ua than most of our enemies. There is no rush to improve our characters since there is no need. Consequently, we do not need extra trade dominance to support ourselves. As far as the allowing more are to travel - see above.
even if i do not quite understand the motivation for dis/ainran to do this.
And again, resons were eleborated on the first post and further in the topic.

Maybe I question your goals in general - the goal for any empire is first, power over others. If you manage to attain this, then the question is what to do with that power, i.e. how to use it.

If you are not white knights then what is your goal? It strikes me that while Dis is not Lawful Good, you are in some way Lawful... which means that this world I do not believe that eternal newbie bloodshed is your goal, like i have said before. But its unclear to me what your goal actually is.

By the way, in the time you are patrolling this safe supergrid, you are acting as white knights, unless you are doing it for your own profit in some sense.

The link at the end of my previous post may soon become more relevant to you, I don't think its quite appropriate yet, and I'm not sure if you find history interesting. Its also probable that empires in a game are different to those in real life but... i luv roleplaying :p

Claim the whole world and start ruling? :D

What's goal of any game? Why do we playing games? For fun!

The key words are acting like rather than acting as white knights.

too lazy to make quote pretty :p

1. rule for what purpose, and what would your rule actually entail?
2. haha, yes, of course i understand this... but what i mean is, how will you have fun exercising your power. For some people that would be sort of white knight police activity, but if you are really not going to turn into white knights you will have to convince me that you are getting something out of this, that you value ;).
3. like/as, makes no difference... if Freya is patrolling the world saving newbies, she is a white knight for the time she spends doing that.

How does that exclude me in any way from pointing out that Dis/Ainran might not have the best intentions?

It's called hypocrisy. Also, if any of you people who are insinuating that Dis and Ainran are doing this as a way of penning cows for the slaughter used your heads for something other than hat racks, you'd figure out that they can already raid pretty much any place in the world at will. how much shit do you think they need? I know for a fact that they are bored with simple raiding and want to try something different. How do I know? because "I" am not bored with simple raiding and have to browbeat the hell out of my friends in Ainran to get them to raid anymore. In other words, if they chose to look at it that way, the entire WORLD is already their cattle pen filled with cows waiting to be slaughtered. A little critical thinking goes a LONG way......
