World reset, remove teleport even when that is the only thing they find time for. It is a damn alpha, let's just see how it works out completely without teleporting and then people can actually have meaningful discussions what needs to be changed from there.

Would you play again then burgingham? It would be such a huge change that things would seem pretty fresh, I would have thought.

I think it would be pretty interesting... sorry for changing my mind completely over the course of a few hours :p

Maybe using CR system inside your village only would be what can be left? Using keys would suck badly and we have tons of keyalts again. Dunno, just thinking loud.

I would NOT be against this.

Sounds good to me - we can still use Key alts on gates so that is not a problem and it is not like this world is even that big compaired to others. It would also limit the amount of control the big factions could have simply because they cant patrol their borders as quickly. People would have to get to know and learn to trade with their neighbors instead of always porting using the 'no HF villager' trick (though I would miss this a lot). It may even encourage the big factions to have more satellite villages like they did in earlier worlds.

May as well try it out and see what happens - at least it would give the Devs a better idea of what TPing is used for (missed for) and what they might need to do to fix holes that the remove of the mechanic creates (like lockable Wagons and gates that will let them drive through and horses to fix the fast travel issue.)

I demand the removal of all teleportation mechanics at the beginning of World 7. Without an easy way to get back, people will stay close to home.

And trade cities will appear when there's no easy way to port across the world.

I'll be a wagon merchant crossing the wilds between towns, and painhertz will hold up my wagon frequently :)

Sadly I don't think that J&L can be bothered/have time to do this and have to deal with the massive wave of QQing and rebalancing that will no doubt be needed.

Although I don't know if its any worse than things are now in some ways.

Hmm. Maybe Crossroads should only be able to be used within 50 or 100 tiles of eachother.

In all seriousness, if there were regional trade cities that were decently defended, I'd be more liable to trade as opposed to raiding.
