Strength + Sword ql effect the damage of a
melee combat attack, Melee Combat(The stat)
effects the defensive weight of shield and
the offensive weight of sting, chop, Valorous
strike, and cleave. Swords have 0% armor pen
Axes have 5% armor pen, UA has somewhere
around 30% armor penetration

I believe what he's reffering to is that you're on a palibasher, your total damage is dependant on your sword Q AND your strength, thus as a palibasher, even a q50 sword can easily penetrate a highly armored guy. the % penetration only comes into play if your attack does less damage than your opponent has AC, and in that case, yep a sword cannot penetrate armor like an axe or a fist can.

I understand that overall damage is affected by sword ql and str Ive known this. But I am still confused as to hitting through armor etc though.

Slaughtered in a 3v1. Poor AAlex always getting outnumbered. :/ We both know that Mark wouldve died if it wasnt for JC coming in and you guys op knocking to kill the char. :3
And i know a bit about combat, but i guess a little practice never hurt anybody Maybe next world I will be a big name guy. The question is, Who to fight for?

Myself and Nao did next to nothing in the fight. He would of died long before Mark without mine and nao's help.
