My words stand! Your inclusion of real life images and actions in a game crosses a line of decency.
No, it doesn't. Nazis aren't the worst people in history. I've met one in person, have you? Who are you to draw conclusions about people you don't even know? To paint them as being this big evil that's off limits for people to remember in a light other than what the Anti-Defamation League and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee is beyond ignorant. The belief that they were some sort of supreme evil that must be stopped in fact began a period of more suffering than was ever imaginable. What if Edward VIII were king at the outbreak of the war? The UK would be the next largest axis power. The Soviet Union would have been destroyed and tens of millions of people wouldn't suffer the fate of death by hard labor under Stalin. I, for one, would side with the lesser of two evils. I would side with the people who in a span of a few decades gave us most of our peaceful modern technical accomplishments.
What if the UK sided with the Axis in WW2, ceding parts of Africa in exchange for grip on what was left on the crumbling empire? Would the Jews have been wiped out? Maybe. That's less than a third of a percent of the world population, multiple times fewer than those that would be later killed under Stalin or the proxy wars of the Soviet Union and United States. The US and Soviet Union would not exist in their current forms, the Soviet Union would be destroyed and the US would be a a backwater state probably similar to Iran today. Nuclear weapons wouldn't exist, many of the Manhattan Project scientists would have died in camps like Dachau and Sachsenhausen. There wouldn't be the chance that the world would go up in flames because the most unstable nations in the world posses nuclear weapons. China would be a colony of Japan, and not the destructive poison superhouse it is today.
If you hate death and suffering, if you hate nuclear weapons, if the wars started by the United States and Soviet Union, and abuses by Russia today disgust you, there should be no one you admire more than the Schutzstaffel gods of death. Everyone can agree that the holocaust was messy, but you have to look past modern misconceptions to see that it would have saved multiple times as many lives as it would have cost, and may have ushered in an era of peace that this planet will never know with people like Barack Obama, Benjamin Netanyahu, Hu Jintao, and Vladimir Putin in power.
Would you really trade the lives of a handful of Jews for the millions of innocents lost in Soviet labor projects? To the environmental devastation caused by the US, Soviet Union, and China? For Nuclear weapons? All those lost in the Korean War, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and countless other nations across the globe? For the constant fear the world lives in of the United States going on one of its bipolar invasions?It's time to stop boohooing about the holocaust being the worst thing in history when it could have ushered in an era of peace unimaginable to us today.
