I played FFXI from 2003 (NA release until around 2009) and before that I was trying all kinds of other shit, runescape being my first online anything with other people. After a while though you start thinking, they're just going to add more content the second I play through this crap making all of my old gear useless. It will never end and even if I have some super awesome character, who the fuck cares? In XI they messed up the exp system big time. It used to take all day to get about 42k experience (200 exp per monster/2-4 minute fights per monster) and you had to actually use some type of strategy in order to speed that up. Now they've made it easy mode where even naked characters can join a group of like 18 people and get 150k+ per hour (42k being the level up point for the original level cap when it was released). You realize after a while that the company producing the game don't give a single fuck about you either (in any mmo). Square Enix is specially bad since if you forget your password or are hacked it can take like a week to get it back. Another thing is they can bill you twice without you being able to do anything about it. Sign up on the 31st of the month, pay $12, the next month comes around, they charge you again for a whole new month! What I like about haven is that there is no skill cap, if you get bored of pvp you can completely ignore it if you're in the right faction and there's no cashshop pay 2 win bs going on (yet). I guess it's just hard to commit to any MMORPG at first, specially since it's hard to pick which WoW clone is your favourite WoW clone
Scratches my head.... What is this WoW thing you speak of. (runs away to hide..giggling my arse off.)
