Under Law 4, a player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player, and a screwdriver should count as a weapon (or generally dangerous item) on those grounds.
'Taking' the ball and popping it with a screwdriver is likely to violate Law 12, by handling the ball. Law 12 also has a handy catch-all thing about 'any other offence, not previously mentioned', if you don't actually handle the ball.
And if you're not playing and think these rules don't apply to you then why are you on the pitch, get off our lawn etc etc.
