now, i find it very interesting that Aalex mentions "The game is broken, along with it the player base, community, trading, competition, enjoyment". that's all true. and i lay the blame at the feet of primarily the russian community. not to paint all russian players with this brush, that would be unfair of course, but i place the blame on "communities" such as Dis/AD who have worked tirelessly to destroy the player base, community, trading, competition and enjoyment - the very same thing that Aalex is lamenting in this thread - through use and abuse of game mechanics such as bugrams, statue walls, impenetrable hearth vaults, and worse.

here i will go ahead and lay this question before koya, ladygoo, qant, aalex, or any others who wish to try and answer:

how the fuck can you justify building an impenetrable statue wall around your village, and still claim that you give a shit about this game at all?

and before we start this old circlejerk again, i'll go right ahead and save us some time and mention that most major players and factions do not have clean hands - we all know about wayneville's bugged coal in w2, we know about ainran's bugrams, we know about sodom's use of summon-ports and vidol jumps and so forth, and the bugged tabacco in w3 (lolwtf).

i will even go ahead and point out that for a good bit of time in w3 i used the famous goon-owned hearthvault "Fnord". anyone remember fnord? well here's the thing about fnord...it was built entirely of brick and was by no means an impossible vault to break. in fact, i remember a time when we tracked scents to a vault that was an exact replica. it was owned by riou2101 or whatever his name was, i don't really remember now. but do you know what happened? we destroyed it and summoned the perp inside. this exact replica of fnord, it only took one battering ram to destroy! sabinati was there, he'll remember. so were spiff, and maybe rage, and i think squidgy or sotsa or maybe some others. and this was before the battering ram splash damage.

don't talk to us about anything that sodom or the goons or anyone else did in previous worlds. we all know about all that shit already. we are now talking about world 6 and what's happened here.

again, i am looking for an answer from the "big names" from these communities:

while statuewalls do not (currently) violate any letter of the law in h&h, they are in extremely poor form and are a game-breaking mechanism. i have yet to hear of any reasonable argument to repudiate this claim. i am speaking to leaders of factions such as Dis, AD and so forth, who have built statue walls around their villages - who the fuck do you think you are? you are the ones who have destroyed this game. how dare you post a thread about how shitty this game as become! you are the ones who have made this happen! you are the ones who have made this community from a thriving online world into a poopsocker's wet dream of a gankfest. how dare you talk about what h&h has become - you are the reason this game sucks!

i have never lived in an impenetrable vault.
i have never used a bugram to attack another player or village.
i have never used statues as a wall.

if you love h&h, you can say all three of these things. if you give a shit about this game, you don't try to destroy its community with unfair advantages.

if you cannot say these things, then you don't care about h&h and i say fuck you. you don't belong here. this applies to everyone, not just russian players.

Devs took a big part in hnh murder. A lot of people would not ever build walls of statues, island vaults or even usual ones, if there was another protection from bugs. Or fixes. Or atleast punishment for bugusers. Faggots free server would work too. But all of this seems to be impossible in this game.

no, no, no, this is faulty logic on your part grapefruit, i'm sorry. the devs are not to blame here. here's a parallel to your reasoning:

"i like to rob and kill people in real life. because the police can't stop me, i will continue to rob and kill people, it's not entirely my fault i do these things, the police should be there to stop me"

everyone who builds island vaults, statuewalls and bugrams, we all know damn well that jorb and loftar do not condone these actions. but we do them anyways. yes, the devs should fix bugs and so forth and that's been discussed many times. devs are unable or unwilling to work on this game right now, and i don't entirely disagree with their decision to not waste any time here. ever heard the phrase "every time you idiot-proof something, along comes a better idiot?" well, this applies here. every time devs fix a bug and nuke a douchebag, along comes a bigger douchebag with a bigger exploit

maybe i can explain it another way. you are basically saying, "h&h is broken and it's not gonna be fixed anytime soon, so we might as well just keep breaking it". let me ask you this then: when your car gets a flat tire and has to be towed to the mechanic, do you go ahead and smash the windshield too because the tow truck hasn't gotten there fast enough?
