Then to further elaborate on bmjclark's response, and with none of the hate from mine, it was basically the same idea as punching through a sign/wall/other hearthling.

The advantage was even, meaning valten had hit the guy through defense the same amount that guy had hit him at the time this screenshot was taken. He's in the water, no doubt taking punches (cause the guys offense is at 0), which is where i assume he took the damage that evened out the advantage. Or do you have a better explanation? =)
