Dear Brodgarians...

When I started this town I looked forward to it being a place where people can get together, have some fun, and learn to play. And maybe die in the process. It's been a fun ride. I'm sure we have all learned and died a lot. But quite frankly I don't feel like sticking around in the town anymore given the circumstances. Those circumstances being that the current LS can't find it in himself to at least show a bit of respect to somebody who started the town that he now sees fit to rule how he wants. Mate, enjoy your town.

To those of you left behind, I am now lawspeaker of a large bwalled location, with good quality soil, and plenty of room. (Existing seed quality is probably better than whatever you have unless its over 100Q, so just bring a few of your best belongings). If you are also considering leaving the town, then please PM me for information. If I know you are a decent type, you are welcome to come. I am hoping that we can make a Brodgar like atmosphere where people are welcome regardless of skill level. In time we might allow immigrants ala the Gondor thread idea, if we can get enough strong players to move in to protect the outside.

The details aren't really worth going into, but when I tried to communicate with him about making somebody else Chief (he has control of both LS and chief) he was in turns abrasive, confrontational, dismissive and just outright rude. I guess I'm just too old to put up with shit like this. I have a low tolerance for rudeness from strangers, esp. when they are probably ten or fifteen years younger than me.

Well, in a town like Brodgar, I would say you probably need to be a little thick-skinned about lack of respect...

I don't take issue with thieves or murderers. If somebody steals from me or kills me, that's part of the game, and I will try and deal with those situations in game. But rude people make me uncomfortable and annoyed, and if H&H starts to take up all my free time AND leave me feeling less than happy, then I have to either change something or leave the game entirely. I've chosen the first option is all. I don't expect everybody to up and leave just because I have. I just don't want to be charged with having 'abandoned' people like I was recently by some guy on B12 forums for some reason, so I want all you cool Brodgar people to know that I am hoping we can get something set up where we can have a nice town-like town, with less of the getting killed and stolen from part going down all the time. You guys will be welcome to set up there, and it is not so far away from Brodgar that you can't travel there if you do decide to make the move in future.

so it wasn't just me who thought our cheif/LS was a total prick all i did was asked him to oath my alt and he went berserk with swearing every other word e.g. "you F****** better B***** be F****** glad im doing you the most F****** b***** massive favor ever so you F****** better be so f****** happy mmkay you little shit?"
so i didnt really approve esp . as there are littlens (even tho im fifteen but still i know my cousin is 8) and 8 is too young to over use that language.

Oooer...

I've just set up my nice little fisherman's claim in brodgar, not even spoken to the LS or chief yet.

This does not make me feel confident about coming away from such a meeting with all limbs attached?

>tell yolan he has no idea how to manage people, if he thinks that saying "Don't give out crossroads" would work in the modern game-world
>yolan acts like a schoolgirl and up and leaves

alright
