Sounds like a lot of fun! I'd love to come and watch, maybe even participate, though my combat stats and experience are lacking. I'd really like to train with some more experienced fighters regardless of my participation in the tournament.

A way to test the person's combat stat is to have an alt with the appropriate UA to spar punch the participant and see how much defense is taken off.

Don't think that would change much, you could have the contestant punch/sting the judges, and calculate their stats with that.
