okay and to mcporkins- sometimes you should do things you dont want to. Like some people dont want to build a palisade around their base but they do it anyway so they are less likely to get raided and killed. they can get their ua up a litle bit so that they dont just die. It's like how people lock their doors to their homes. It would be nice if you never needed keys and if would be good if everybody is nice but that's not reality- people steal and kill... its life. Same concepts in games.
I agree Jimmy, but tell me this, how quick can a fresh from the fairies nub get a pali up? it took my first guy 1 week to hunt down the animals to make leather and boneglue from. now apply this to your logic. yes sure you can kill and pillage in this game, and expect to do so or have done to, but in all honesty, most nubs disregard much of what is going on around them. see jimmy, there are actually some pretty nice nublets out there dont build palis to keep you out. the player base is slightly less even in the killer/nub ratio. and while such instances of running into you are rare, defending your self all the time because of jimmy the boogie man will bad touch you, will detract from the main point of the game, which is to learn build up and survive, not just from boogie men and bears, but in general. now having said this, i want you to actually take to heart what I am saying, put it in that little brain of yours and slosh it around. so much so im going to type it in all caps and bold, underline and put it in italics:
JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE AND THEY PROGRAMMED IT INTO THE GAME DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO ACTIVELY PURSUE IT, THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED FREE WILL. MANY OF THE NEW PLAYERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE HOW TO PLAY, JUST BECAUSE YOU DOUCHE IT UP AND MAKE IT YOUR MAIN GOAL OF THE GAME, DOES NOT MEAN THEY ALL HAVE TO START LOCKING THEIR DOORS AND COWER UNDER THEIR STRAW MATS. ITS CALLED SELECTIVE TARGETING. TRY IT BEFORE YOU HAVE A LONG LIST OF BUTT HURT ANCESTORS.
and they can choose not to build a wall, o forget their ua and thats up to them. but when they get killed they shouldn't complain if they dont. Heres a way you can look at it. So theres a girl at home watching tv. She sees some creepy guy trying to kick open her front door to get in. she can either go get her dads gun and shoot him, call the cops, and go ask the guy if he wants some cookies and milk. So to relate this to the noobs I kill, she does the third option. A few hours later her parents get home and shes dead :'(... Now this story sucks cuz I hate rapists they deserve to die. but its just showign how you can be a nice good person and do nothing bad to others and people can still do bad things to you, so even though the noobs are nice happy peaceful skillers they still need to protect themselves.
