Ainran/Dis fight with ???/RiC

I can only have Portgas in my head as HnH Breivik and would never compare him to any other HnH player. And with my trading, I probably met about 500 this world already. Do you know how far that is from allience, where ALOT of cool people are, being worse than that?

Granted I gave a partial answer already, but I would be more interested in hearing something from RiC or RoK on the matter. I don't think that is a derail, but quite focused on the topic. The question has actually nothing to do with Ainran or Dis directly (of course their loaded egos couldn't proccess that), but rather the ones who decided to choose Portgas as an ally.

Was it simple opportunism? Him being capable to add some power to their alliance? Or is there actually a congruence of interests and ideologies?

So explain to me again how that was a derail, or better yet don't because that would be a real derail when I am still waiting from an answer from the right sources. I assure you it is an unbiased question out of simple interest.
