Not sure about anyone else but I find it rather fascinating that responses to Thalyd went from scorn to friendly so swiftly once he changed his tone of reply.

Not unusual. When people are going to feed off anger (like people attracted to PvP games) and gobble it like candy, the last thing you should do is get angry.

However, when you take the game for what it is and rise above the emotional roller coaster, people will appreciate that and give you respect, even going out of their way to provide you some pointers and help on how to improve.

That's what I have observed in general about almost all competitive endeavors. Why? Nobody likes crying. It's one thing to grieve, another to throw a tantrum. Everyone knows the hurt of losing something you've put hours and hours into. It might be a small hurt (compared to losses in real life), but it's a blow to the ego.

Thalyd, before you go and derail this thread, I'm gonna tell you something. There are only 3 kinds of people that still play this game:

1. Griefers
2. People who ride griefer dick like it's their job
3. People who live in seclusion behind brickwalls and farm

If you don't fall into one of those categories, you'd best get out and find another game.

Then there's people like me who just die. ^.^
