So you asked a question, and then immediately answered it with a sarcastic remark towards the 'alternative'. Then you claim that it was an honest question?

You, sir, need to figure out a better way to request information.

I would suggest something like:

"RiC, RoK, why do you side with Portgas?"

That is a direct question to the people who are able to answer your question. For an extra bonus, it also avoids bringing other people into the conversation.

Additionally, if you do honestly want to get some information about what is going on, it would be beneficial to avoid giving the impression that you already know what is going on. I'm in the middle of it and I don't always know all the details. Its ok to not know the politics and details, but if you want to know, you should come in with an attitude of curiosity.
