I see some pave, some houses and a decent wall. Its not like convincingly a huge city to me though.

other than that no, the end is not nigh, and no one ought to be afraid. Sure its big, but look at it, not very inhabited, and you say many murder scents pointing to it, well most people who rush to murder and go out mass murdering this early are most likely not to interested in great economic output, making shit harder for them when they die.
