A friend and I built a little hermitage a great distance from any river, but we made a newbie mistake and left our palisade corners unsealed while we slept. When I woke up this morning, I see a guy in a bear cape has cut down all the trees in the SW corner, moving some empty crates around. He makes some threats, says he want the cave entrance and tells us to "declaim and gtfo nicely", makes some small talk, and tries to shoot me a couple times. My farmer has zero combat skills, so I run into the house.
I also had a dream about getting murdered in the cave the night before, and don't like the anxiety that this game is giving me. Games are supposed to be relaxing. I have realized that I just don't have the free time to "get good enough" to deal with the hostility and requisite PvP involved in Haven and Hearth. This girl is not a fan of combat.

Long story short, the house, the claim and all the stuff in it is free for the taking (two crates full of bream inside). The keys are in a chest between the palisade and the south-gate. Not going to give the bear-cloaked griefer the satisfaction of declaiming, but feel free to vclaim over it or whatever. Plenty of vandalism and trespassing scents around if you want to make sure that no one else interferes with your brand new cave. The second entrance is marked on the map, and guarded only by a hearth fire of one of our alts. This cave is ENORMOUS. Cheers!
