The Pursuit Of Bruthol

Postby Valten21 » Tue Nov 22, 2011 7:02 am

Myself and Jordan Clark had prepared a few days for this, gathered scents, location, time zone, and regular playing hours of the target. We woke up by the Crack of Noon and set out towards Bruthol's super grid, intent to test his words against our steel. (fists and arrows too I guess, the only steel was JC's sword). The trip was expected to be a long one, we thought at least we'd find some flotsams and bluebells, but turns out we found much more...

We were boating past a village when we noticed someone was actually outside, digging clay... Naturally, we picked up agro and charged towards him, he ran in land, so we disembarked and followed after, a lengthy pursuit followed managing to land a few punches on him as he ran, in the end after some good coordination between myself and JC we were able to catch and kill the hearthling. Few theft scents later we were on our way back to our boats, which happened to be next to the village we had attacked said clay digger at. Upon our return, we discovered we had roused quite the rabble inside, some well equiped hearthlings paced inside the walls, I did not hesitate and took a few shots at the one who appeared least armored, managing to kill one, it was about this time I recieved word from a good friend, asking if we happened to be raiding a village which just happened to have the same name as the village we were at currently...

What a shame, somewhat fortuntatley, this happens to us more often then not and we are well experienced with handling such situations. Grovling in humiliation we imediatly announced who we were, and that we were allies! We returned the gear we took, curios as well, placing them in a crate infront of the villages CR. Things were simply being communicated between the villages alliance, and in this time we noticed our boats had been stolen by an alt from said village.. Jorb be damned, Bruthol's scents were in a chest inside those boats.... I did everything my time being allied with Pandemonium could of prepaired me for, and managed to patch up the wound (Death of a friend, and active villager) of the person standing on the opposite side of the wall. Our chest was returned, but alas, no boats. To ashamed to ask for our boats back as well, JC went off to see if he could rob a noob of one while I crawled down the river with the chest... Scent's are rather heavy. I was making way along when a hearthling passed by on the river. He stopped. I stopped. Seconds of contemplation passed on both sides, untill he picked up agro on me.... He boated towards the river bank and jumped out..

With the chest over my head I charged at him, I suppose he didn't expect this, and didn't react to it well either, he picked up his boat and placed it in land while I stacked IP still carrying the chest. As soon as he dropped the boat he turned and punched me, a mistake he soon regreted. I continued stacking IP, and in an attempt to catch up he switched to death or glory, a few seconds later... picturing this.. I had 6 IP, 100% offense, and 50% defense, my opponent had (after a few to many DoG's) 9 IP, 0% attack, and 50% defense. The scales tipped in the favor of death, not glory, I had broke his defense and was lusting to spill more blood, noting the iminent loss, my assailant turned and ran, I placed my chest and picked up in pursuit, taunting him in my victory

-"jump punch noob"

JC had found a boat during this and was on his way up, disembarked south of me to cut him off, unfortunately we failed to catch the guy after quite some time and he ended up attempting to swim a river but drown instead.

Interested in who had just attacked us, we returned to our chest of scents, and added one the assailants assault scent to our collection, a few whiff's later and we realized his hearth was close.... minutes later...

Quite satisfied with ourselves, we carried on towards Burthol... at last.. after a few hours we had finally reached his super grid and were closing in on his town when I recieved a PM from a friend, saying his town was under siege by a group of 6 raiders. I informed JC, and we decided this was of more urgency then attempting to kill Bruthol... with a sigh, we picked up our boats and hearthed home to meet others preparing for the fight to come. Shortly The Pride Of Ainran was oathed to an idol near the besieged village, and the 5 of us made our way over (with 2 coming a bit behind). Outside it's walls we didn't think twice, rushing at the enemy, I took lead, picking up agro on the group and queing up a move on the closest one. A warrior stepped past his comrade's and rushed at me. Punch's were exchanged and it was already clear my opponent would have a hard time killing me... he opted to run, and with that, his raid party fled infront of him, we split up pursuing who we could. Unfortunately a few (4) managed to break off as we kept in packs on certain individiuals, the pursuit was long, and it brought us to the walls of there own village OMSK. Here while running alongside the enemies walls while more inside came to shoot at us, both our groups managed to catch and kill the person they were chasing. Cheers were had all around, laughing at how the enemy had fled in sight of us and lost a few in it's attempted escape..

The sound of my armor deflecting an arrow quickly reminded me it was not over yet, I returned fire and after a few shots it was obvious if my target stuck around his armor would not last. In an attempt to at least triumph in this ranged battle another raider appeared with a sling to try and hamper my shots, unfortunately not even the two of them could stop me from landing my arrows and they fled out of rendering distance. Sweet victory!

5 hours later, 3 villages, and 6 people... we realized we were again, hours away from Bruthol's village. :(

(I'm hoping Nao took some screens of the last encoutner, we will find out when he wakes up)

You guys are willing to catch me when i sleep?
The bitchy way? Again?

Well. Anyway, when i sleep you can find my hf behind 2 layers of brickwall.
And this time you won't be able to use the fucking chair trick.
GL.

On another hand, I thought the village a bit west our lake ("Sion") was your. Isn't it?

Oh, where did you get these scents?
Probably not mine, I'm a peaceful farmer.

If we were in ur supergrid, u would be dead already. Also, there u go again being an arrogant asshole. We were fully prepared to 7v2 ur village and u still think we'd need to summon you

BruThols perception of reality is kinda botched. Well, I guess I would try to make up things to justify my own shortcomings if I sucked so much.

BruThol and his buddy Noah/Rose are really the new forum clowns.

Nice thread btw.

If my aunt got balls, i'd call her "uncle".
Btw there is no arrogance, just saying some shit as usual.

Anyway. Have fun, I'm off of this thread.

Ah burghinshit, this is a game. This ain't reality.

Yes, and you suck at it is all I am saying.

Please call me by my normal name, would you be so kind? Or we can really start to play a game as you offered in this other thread.
