In defense of Qutas

Postby Redell » Mon Jan 23, 2012 4:25 am

I got a message from Painhertz saying that we need to re-add his HS saying that he had died again to 2 guys in some village.
I asked him where and if we could come kill them, and he gave us the coords.

We head to the village and when we get there I spot a bear cloak/bandit mask/solider sword guy walking around inside.
We quickly run around unspotted and discover that they had built a minehole to get into the village.

JC and I run through the tunnel as fast as possible to avoid the risk of them blocking off the minehole inside.
When we pop out of the minehole we see no one and walk around for a few second until the same guy walks out of a house.
Insta aggro, and he goes right back in, I follow and am greeted by 3 guys, 2 guys in steel and the 1 we aggroed.

I did a 180 and got the fuck out and had them come out to a 2v3. We proceed to do the fights, 2 on JC/1 on me.

I break the defense of my guy and one of the guys on JC proceed to attack me. Too bad he forgot to get his defense back up and got stung and dropped.

The 2 remaining make a break for the minehole and the we start the most frustrating thing I've been through... "Tunnel Chasing"
Image

Jiochan gets a few hits off on the guy in front until he pops out of the minehole and gets dropped.
Image

The last one with the bear cloak just runs in a random direction once he gets out and we eventually catch up, dropped.

We then return to the village and begin to talk to the alts of its inhabitants.
They ask who we are and what happen as we rummage through their stuff for payment.

Then we left, looking for the newb raiders HF's, sadly they had set them outside for the construction of the hole.
End Story.

Still curious on who the raiders were...

There was a big village in a thicket just south of there that we think they might have been from.

I don't quite remember the occasion, but we once had a tunnel chase over 15 minutes or so. Annoying indeed.

Nice thread, your stories always entertain Red.

I'm confused you said that you and JC chased the remaining 2 into the tunnel, but in the screenshot there's 5 people.

Fun story though.

Eric had just arrived at the minehole outside when they ran into the mine :)

Painhertz was nosing around in one of the towns up there, and these guys who were going around raiding places killed him. It seems like he went into a different town then qutas when they killed him, and we just happened to catch them in qutas.

so they had a tunnel that led directly behind their palisades?
And they had summonable scents
And they do not palisaded the tunnel

It was just a matter of time
