Griefers?

Postby Bleepz » Fri Feb 10, 2012 10:20 pm

So I log on and find my things on my claim destroyed but don't think items were taken I collected scents and followed them but then reached a huge village I couldn't cross and i think the people/person who did this lives there. should i expect more of this in the future and leave the area or stick around?
Do larger villages normally grief?

People with the power and confidence to grief will grief whenever they feel like it. It's the dichotomy of nameless, faceless MMO's in general;

1) Has the Opportunity presented itself?
2) Can I get away with it?
3) What will I get out of it?
3a) Am I that bored

If:Then Statements apply here.
Yes, I am a Wizard.

you can't know if there are griefer just taking a look at theyr village. Appearance isn't enough. Is pretty sure, anyway, that most of the people of hh are griefers, they live in wooden house or in vaults or in large villages, or inside a mine or a cave.

Basically, in this game there are more griefers than peacefull players (Of course, one can't be peacefull here if isn't a super killer.)

This is.

I know that but its just the scents pointed in their direction and they have a reputation for being jerks.

If I wanted to restart but with my current character would i have to just travel the old fashioned way or is there some sort of trick to find a new random spot?

i'm not sure that i've understood your request....

Find a new place with you're main? Well....Walk.

Find a new place with a new chara? Spawn in the wild.

You can look on foot or in boat, or you can destroy hearth and log off somewhere you cant log back in at- for example a vclaim you're not part of, then you will be given the option to spawn in wilderness as you have no hearth or log in point.

Also try to prospect your general area you intend to settle at in comparison to major factions/other large settlements by using the world map.(http://algeralith.info/HavenMap)

Gluck.

you don't need to being stuck on a claim to have the choise to spawn in the wilderness. Once you don't have your hf, the choise will be at your chara login.

And yeah..i didnt remembered this chance.
