Me and 2 friends just started this game, it's quite fun. We got a farm going a built a minor house. Went to bed and when we came back. Someone has claimed a long ass line throughout our camp separating us from eachother and making it impossible to reach certain parts of our camp. Is there anything to do be done about this? Or are we screwed?

You can stake your own claims and prevent them from expanding theirs by boxing theirs in. Then build a wall and secure your possessions and criminal scents until you can get a village up to declaim their plot.

Otherwise just move away.

Always claim land or else you don't really own it.

Well, if there's nothing on the line that you need, you could use the Newbie trespassing simply to pass through. However, that isn't a permanant solution.

Better to pack up and make a new place, get a personal claim down, as well as a palisade, then drop a Village Claim when you can. That's the only way to be sure.

Yea, other than getting a village up to declaim, your best moving away. You still have your LP and you have a little more exp about the game now. Just make sure to be AT LEAST 1 map distance from a river if you do move, or people will just keep annoying you.

Screwed over is a strong word. You can and will find a way to survive.

My suggestion, like everyone else, is to either stake as much of a claim as you can where you are, or move away and stake a claim elsewhere. Either way, stake a claim. That will prevent this from happening again.

i too am rather new, and i experienced a similar situation. i ended up staking my own claim, but i was close enough to the other person and they appeared to desire quite a bit of territory. my character was doing pretty well for a new guy i think, but i ended up getting killed by the person who was close to me. so in the end i put quite a bit of effort into a character that just ended up dying. based on this, i would suggest finding a way to move your settlement further from other people. in the end it could save the character that you have been putting so much work into.
