Is anybody in there?

Postby the_duck » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:02 am

While foraging, I find claims which look abandoned. Full crops sitting unharvested, beehives not working, some stuff decaying, and a few skeletons around the claim (I assume these were the owners). Some of these have gaping holes in the defenses, like the walls were never finished or had huge sections knocked down. I tried putting runestones to block the gate (so I could see if they were going through it), but if they teleport around, they wouldn't care. If the village is only slightly active, I still can't move in because the owners would still get pissed when I take their stuff.

Is there any way to tell if anyone is using the claim anymore?

P.S. Is it possible to destroy the claims, if necessary?

Sounds like an abandoned claim thats been long since raided. It is impossible to tell who you're referring to from such a vague description. The world really is huge. There really isn't any way to tell if they're active or not but if they have decayed walls and have had them for some time; there's a very good chance that they've quit or moved on.
You can remove a personal claim with a village claim as long as you are the lawspeaker. You just need your village claim to touch their claim and then you revoke it.

I think it has to cover their claim totem, not just their claim, but yes.

You have to touch the claim with v-claim,
stand on a tile of the p-claim and v-claim
and see the p-claim totem from this place to "revoke the privilege".

If i am all right.

Keep in mind that you need sufficient authority in your village claim to declaim the personal claim. A village with just the idol is probably ableto only declaim small claims, not large ones and especially not LP banks.

If i am all right.

Overlapping the vclaim & pclaim isn't enough. The vclaim has to cover the claim stake.

No. As long as one square of the vclaim is covering one square of the pclaim you can unclaim it.

It uses authority, not LP.
