Are livestock considered stolen items and do normal scent times apply? Sort of noobish question, sry.

First I need to say I am a noob, and might be totally wrong in what I say now contradicting Zou, but I consider that if you have a claim you should see at least trespassing scents (but they last only 8 hours and you might have not logged on in that time) and most probably theft that last a little less than 3 real days.
Ofc if someone knows better please correct my saying.

Edit: I say so because once I tried to deliver a calf across someones land and I had to leave it because I needed skill I did not had bought at that time.
