Elysian Fields

So here is the story short but sweet, I logged in to feed my animals etc and there are theft scents everywhere. They even stole my boy chickens. I checked out the perimeters for vandal scents etc and there are none to be found. My question is, if i'm a hermit then how the hell did anyone get into my village without breaking walls? Can the person responsible please explain.
