I recommend to hermits that they try out Brodgar for a while. You can always move on if the heat gets too much and remained authed for trading purposes. Best of both worlds imo.

Brodgar will make the area around it completely picked up. Nothing's gonna be as it was, and foraging will just be too hard for newcomers. Dragonflies would be immediately picked by "pros" leaving nothing to study for others. You should reconsider that, and I might be wrong on that matter, but that's what happens when too many people forage in a safegrid.

I'm sort of thinking about doing the village thing this time...but it sucks how 1 person can destroy all a village works for so I usually hermit. its too hard finding people you can actually trust in this game

Had a small settlement this world, it was called Wheal Coates, but when the other guys stopped playing it stopped being as much fun, and then the lag happened so I stopped too. Don't know how much time I will have but taking a break from Salem sounds like a good idea, and let them add in the things it needs. If anyone is interested in setting up a small village with me then send me a PM, it'd be nice if you tend to play around UK evening times (16:00-00:00 utc)
