Price is completely dependant on how much the seller will offer. If you were to contract someone to make it, you'd need show you're serious about this. I don't see one going for minimum 5 pearls, and it really should be higher than that anyways (5-20 pearl range in my head, I'm not entirely sure on the current economy though so it may be different).

Wouldn't it be impossible with water q? Or is there a way to go lower than 10 that I'm not thinking of/cared to learn about?
Haven't been looking into the formula's myself recently, I know the leather can go down to Q2 for sure via a tanning tub, potentially/probably lower if you spiralled it as hard leather, that was nerfed though so I don't know how it'd pan out now (*cough cough* Dis might know the new formula but aren't telling me *cough cough*). Q0 string is possible by Q1 wool on a Q0 spinning wheel I'd reckon, never tested that though.
Again, it depends if you can get a Q1 leather. 2 methods I see (first one may work, second one definitely will but is much much more difficult)
1. Using a clay cauldron with Q10 water (clay cauldron's quality is automatically 0), Q1 (maybe even 0) wax and Q2 leather to make a Q1 hardened leather
2. Using metalworking to create a Q0 cutting tool to get Q0 hides which can be made into Q1 leather in a Q0 tanning tub with Q10 water and Q0/1 bark. The difficulty here is creating a Q0 cutting tool requires firstly getting access to a massive Q0 tree farm, making foraging alts to get Q5 clay for a Q5 kiln and then a Q3 smelter from that to then use Q10 iron ore to try to spiral down iron quality. Spiralling the iron would take an immense amount of time and devotion as well as a large Q10 iron supply.
Edit: I haven't done too much testing with animals myself, I only did this stuff in my spare time in W5 which wasn't often. Supposedly starving Q1 animals will yield Q0 products, which would make the creation of Q1 leather much simpler.
