In all of W6 i've managed to get two pearls so far and believe me its not through lack of trying!
I am def up for trading mussels for pearls, esp as ramones said, most traders require these.

Because he is selling pearls and he is buying mussels. It doesn't matter if most people might buy only one pearl, he is still selling pearls. It's like saying "I sell cars (for money)". Most people will only buy one car, but it doesn't mean you have to say "I sell car (for money)".
@thread: I like the idea, personally I am pretty unlucky finding pearls on mussels. However, I probably wouldn't trade because there are some moments that are just priceless (such as the time I found 2 pearls in a batch of 40 mussels), whereas I usually boil hundreds of them without finding a single one.
