Odditown can't start killing if 10+ Dis/Ainran members are present in the trading centre. Unless they want suicide, in which case Aracos would run into the mansion cellar and hearth while everyone else gets killed.

Is there a particular reason certain groups are denied entry? Besides a history of griefing/troublemaking/etc.? And what's to stop people gearing up and pretending to be others for the sake of causing trouble without worrying about retribution, because they framed another faction?

Of course, but you guys don't need all the guards out and about at the same time. If you have them rotate shifts they can rest and do whatever, but be available if shit starts going down. If someone DOES start a fight, a couple of guards should be able to take them down quickly enough. If there's a sudden raid, then the guards chilling in the barracks can port behind them and flank them, and depending on how many you have that would be quite a sight.

In any case, people shouldn't be afraid of going because of all the hypothetical situations. If I weren't so far away I would set up a camp nearby so I can get there quickly and make a living off trading. Maybe even start a discount tree farm if they let me.

Actually, that had nothing to do with my death. It has relevance to what I was saying. The trade post is a good way to avoid unfairness like idol killing during trades.

This sounds ideal to me, you would catch most players this way. If that wasn't possible though maybe open for two hours at around 9 or 10pm, that is not too late for the daytime playerbase and not too early for the rest.
