Animals probably aren't at the point where they need q85 fodder yet so really buying troughs full of it is pointless. Crops get higher quality faster than animals do.

Well if there is anyone to lazy to fill up there own troughs.. can just buy them here.. we are dropping 800~ carrots once or twice a day, that's just a huge waste.
