What he said. While his demands seem a little unrealistic mostly he should be able to at least buy tsacks or tin for linen, wax or whatever. So give him a chance.

I would suggest not only putting a better stone axe on your buy list, but making it a priority.

Yes, get a high quality stone axe first, and get the survival up to 200 asap.
That way your skins are valuable for trade.

The wax is a decent commodity. Linen in huge supplies can also be valuable in its use for banners.

A monocle is unrealistic at your present state. Focus on getting the tools and try and find a mining spot.
