WTB: LC of iron ore

Postby Gary458 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 2:17 pm

Pretty much explains it, I'm looking for q10 as thats really easy. I don't really care what quality, I just want to craft iron so my character knows how to make iron items. I am willing to pay in curios, message me your price and I'll see what I can do

Hey, I have a better idea. Build a barter stand (I think you have to complete the building with a fresh alt) then make the alt sell iron bars, and the pay price would be 1 stone. Then chip a stone, buy the iron bar and give it back to the fresh alt. Repeat with every character and every item you haven't discovered for best results.

Edit: That came out wrong, it isn't really my idea, it's just that it's less costy for you to do it, that's why it's a better idea.
Edit2: I made this assuming you have iron bars already but didn't discover them.

Well also, you might wanna find an iron mine yourself, I'm going to do this once I gather enough balls to move from my palisade.

Two questions:

1) Can you trade in wallgrade bricks - or even clay?
2) Are you able to be oathed to my idol?

If you can, I can trade with you, just pm me your hs. I'm on uk time and on in the evenings.

@ NOOBY93 - if you have iron bars already, you can just break them into nuggets to discover them.

Yeah but... Aren't nuggets crafted with a crucible, and to be crafted you need to initially discover the metal? Sorry if I'm wrong, though, I'm not much of a metal worker myself, just tried to use some common sense.

I'll be honest, I can't remember that far back, lol, I know you have to discover bricks and charcoal to build one, and I discovered steel by breaking into nuggets after I was given a bar - I then did the same with my newb camp for them to discover various types of metal - I had already discovered copper and iron though, so you could be right.

Borka will know. :D

The alloying crucible is made with Bricksx15 and Clayx5, so you should be fine. It's inside Build > Tools.

This is what you do ig you have (stolen) metals but can't do anything with it. Build a crucible (you don't need metals discovered for that). Then turn one of your bars into nuggets and return them into a bar also on the crucible. This way you discovered nuggets and bars of that material.
Good luck with the metalworking!
Hope you have a great day

unless youve discovered NO metal at all, they certainly have the right idea with turning a bar into nuggets ^^
