hello possible member! pallet town is a sexy place full of joy, intrigue, misery, celebration, literature, young women, caves, loss, adventure, cows, buried treasure, mystery, violence, guns, and cocaine. Most importantly, were just here to have fun and learn about the game through experience. What the fuck else do you want me to say? It's a village, I'm not going to sit here for thirty minutes trying to think of a thesis.. sheesh

My reasons for starting this village are to learn and have some fun and not just hermit around. I'm not going to stress that you work and toil, or put you on lumberjack duty the first week, or close off any of the more important structures. Basically, I'm not going to treat you like an idiot and throw you in a beginner zone with some shitty tools and appliances, etc.
We are equals in a learning process and as such, all members should be treated equally and fairly. We all have something to learn from eachother. But, considering the trust I am willing to extend to new members, I will also only be accepting people who I think will truly mesh well with the existing player base. So be specific and verbose in your application!!

What you want: A good intermediate village. A good, brick-walled place to learn the basics of village life, mess around, spar, have some fun and maybe learn a few tips and tricks from fellow village members.
What we want:A thorough understanding of game mechanics (e.g. You know how to build a palisade, mine, fish, farm, metalwork, silk-make, etc.) a friendly attitude, and an acceptance of your hearthlings often short and brutal mortality.

We're currently in the need for able-bodied individuals that fit these guidelines:
-You must speak english (obviously effective communication is important)
-You must have a good understanding of how the game works
-You must be able to work in a group or as a team
-Skype/steam/something else is preferred

We need these kind of jobs filled:
-foragers
-hunters

-silkmaker/farmhand/etc
-miner/metalworker

So, basically, this is the first village I have ever tried to run/manage. We're off to a good start, I think. We've got 2 brick walls, a handful of village members, basically all the essentials. Right now we're looking to dig deeper into the ground (level 2!!! :o ). We're also looking to build a few smaller brick walls inside the village and in the mine to protect buildings, furnaces, etc. Trees are being planted steadily, with great success! We're also attempting to set up some silk manufacture, with more success! Also cheese. lots of cheese. We're certainly in need of more hands, though.

my time zone is gmt -8, but yours doesnt really matter

I don't want to get really specific in this thread, so if this sounds like your cup of tea, shoot me a pm with some basic info and I'll gladly share the details.

I know how much people enjoy pictures soo... here you go.

so... to recap if you're interested shoot me a private message,
or you can catch me on skype at: don_johnson22:

EDIT: For clarification, here is a template for an application, please send it in a private message to me.

What is it you expect from the village?
What is it you want out of the village?
What can you offer to the village?
Are you friendly with others or do you prefer to keep to yourself?
Age:
Been playing since:
attitude towards black skills IE murder, rage, theft vandolism:
jobs / village tasks that interest you:
timezone:
amount of hours played per day:
new character? if not current stats:

a caveat: All potential village members will be on a very casual sort of quasi-probational status that entails me basically seeing if you fit with our player group. If I feel you (the potential village member) cannot get along with myself and other village members in a constructive manner, then I will see it fit to exile you from the village for a time, until we can come to some sort of understanding, if any at all.

include any other questions, comments or concerns, please.

I have no idea, this one place I holed up in had a really weird witch face drawn in the fields, and each of them named really creepy.Looks like a pot from the minimap. Guess the old owners just get bored.

At a guess to maximize the number of crops under one hive.

oh yeah the crops look pretty weird huh, i was trying to get some wax. but my point is, maybe one of the villagers i recruit will be better able to educate us on proper farming techniques... that is the whole point of starting this village yes? to exchange ideas and learn new and better ways of doing things?
