Behold I am come to take pity of thy fortune and tribulation; behold I am present to favor and aid thee; leave off thy weeping and lamentation, put away all thy sorrow, for behold the healthful day which is ordained by my providence. O man of Ping Pong, son of Donny, chop down your trees and build a boat, abandon possessions and look for the land between two swamps. There you shall build a wall of brick and iron. Remember and understand in the recesses of your heart that if you should do these things and pledge your life to me you shall live as one of the blessed. Do not be misled; for there is no peril on this hearthland where my sword will not open a path; and with that sword I will shortly bring your enemy's head to earth and place upon yours the crown of your realm."
It was in this manner the walls of Pallet were erected, a wall to house the faithful and protect them from the slings and arrows and swords and axes of the wicked. The tribe of believers grows steadily. The Cult of Pallet continues to spread the glory and fame of His sublime omnipotence........
tl;dr: Our god is a god of vengeance and horror and action. Our god is an Indian who turns into a wolf. So, in short, this is the Pallet Town recruitment thread v2.0.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Pallet Town is a communal organization, meaning that we try to share and share alike. Tools, food, curios, equipment are pretty much held in common. Although there are some items which will be held onto for safety purposes (such as pearls, steel, other valuables.) This does not mean you can't keep what you personally find or craft, more specifically valuable curios like pearls. You ARE entitled to things that you procure for yourself, so long as it does not conflict with the communal aspect we are trying to cultivate. Also, personal items will be issued, such as steel plates, robes, and traveller's sacks, after certain periods of time and when I feel you are somewhat committed to the fame and glory of Pallet.
Basically, I'm not going to treat you like an idiot and throw you in a beginner zone with some shitty tools and appliances, etc. We all have something to learn from eachother. But, considering the trust I am willing to extend to new members, I will also only be accepting people who I think will truly mesh well with the existing player base.
So PLEASE be specific and verbose in your application!!
A couple more things...
-We realize that your time is a valuable thing, and that you can't be bothered to play this game at all hours of the day and night. If you can't log on everyday, that is okay. Just don't log on for thirty minutes everyday to refresh your study space. What I mean by that is a village requires a lot of work, so if you are not doing a lot of work, please, do not fill your study space to the gills. Take only what you think you deserve. (If this becomes a problem I'll have to award better curios that I find on a personal basis... or just eliminate the guilty parties

-We are primarily a peaceful village, though we have been known to pilfer local abandoned Korean settlements. This means we are not interested in tracking random scents, looting, killing, or general destruction or elimination of local inhabitants.
-We are a primarily closed group, and seek to avoid certain "foreign entanglements." We are wary of certain types of folk, but are always looking to extend friendly relations to those individuals and groups who are of similar minds.

a caveat: All potential village members will be on a very casual sort of quasi-probational status that entails me basically seeing if you fit with our player group. If I feel you (the potential village member) cannot get along with myself and other village members in a constructive manner, then I will see it fit to exile you from the village for a time, until we can come to some sort of understanding, if any at all.
