Looking to start playing

Postby RandomGodou » Sun Apr 07, 2013 9:22 pm

By what I saw, this looks like a fun game, but so far by what I read on the forums there are, like anywhere else, some people that either destroy what others have, or take the game too seriously(which are both bad in my point of view).

That's why, I'm looking for people who just want to have fun playing together instead of destroying stuff others make or getting stressed because they lost things in the game to people who do such things. I know sometimes it's frustrating to lose stuff you made, but honestly, this is a game and thus meant to make people have fun, not to make people stressed.

So I'd like to know if there's anyone in here that wants to play without pressure, just have fun making stuff together, instead of fighting others or getting stressed due to being attacked.

I guess if there isn't anyone I'll try joining the game some other day, when/if there is someone who wants what I want.

Yes, I did, and that's precisely why I want to find someone that isn't caught up on the "too serious" or "troll" part of the game. The game itself has potential to be more than a war game. Yet players mainly see it as a war game, stress themselves over protection until they realize how stressed they get then quit.

That's precisely why I want to find people that aren't caught up on that, or at least not yet. I don't care if they are complete newbies, or just played solo so far and thus aren't as caught up in protecting themselves as people from villages are.

All I care for is having fun with people who don't really care if they get destroyed in the game, because after all it is a game. It's not like dying in game, or losing stuff you made in game, is the same as the same happening IRL. People act as if it is the worst thing ever, but they forget that doing so only makes it boring and stressful when it's meant to make people have fun.

All that being said, I really hope at least one person is like me in here.

Actually I understand what you say. The best thing when you have a objective, isn't when you finish/reach it. But the journey you do to get there. I believe thats why most ppl get nostalgic sometimes.

Good luck mate!

Thanks for the constructive reply. I really hope other people like you understand that.

That being said, borka, could you kindly stop posting here if you're only going to spam "you didn't see the game yet"? That's not constructive nor is it helpful in any way.

Hope I do get other replies like oreia's at the very least, though. I don't need spam nor trolling in this thread, all I want in here are people that understand what I said like oreia, and hopefully people who would play together while having that mindset.

Ok you seem to have read the Congress a lot... i state what i stated different times before: it's always the "bad boys" who are the loudest (how many times do you read about ppl hugging or kissing in the paper?) ...the silent majority is still the one with friendly playstyle!

Anyone who knows me and my playstyle sure knows why i wrote that "You don't saw HnH game yet" ...reducing the "Stressfactor" to war, raids and protection paranoia shows that you really didn't saw HnH game yet...the main stressfactor is to achive goals in crafting or getting a wibbly wobbly bunch of ppl working together... ;)

And you need to have a good developed running village and such up and gone before you can imagine how that feels...talk is cheap ...

Sure it's my opinion...i truly wish you good luck and a lot of fun on your way... :D

btw. what's your age?!?

You even don't know HnH forums ppl yet... :P

You say you don't want to have to treat this like a war game, but where there are resources there are people who want those resources, and the easiest way for them to get it is just to go in and kill you. But world 6 is a wasteland being dominated by alliances so you wont be dying for resources, you will be dying from hermit hunts and general griefers.

You could sit back and just chill in a nice village with some people, but you haven't played H&H yet, you don't know how it is, people will find you and when they find you they will come back with more people and they will kill you all. And they will do this until your so paranoid of them that you make your village 3 walls thick and have prison rules when it comes to going in and out.

But anyway I wish you luck, but if you do want to survive the first week, without luck, I would REALLY advise getting a palisade up the moment you get the materials to.

Well, it depends from person to person. I understand that unlocking new stuff to craft isn't easy, nor is having/making a village easy. Yet, I don't think either HAVE to be stressful. They can be, if you pressure yourself like "I must finish this asap" but if you don't really mind people destroying what you made, there's no big deal in doing all in your own pace, which is what makes this more fun.

That being said, Valkyrie, I never mentioned that we'd settle with absolutely nothing to protect us and just wait on dying. We would obviously make the security as good as we can. All I'm saying is we won't be like "It has to be done asap" then just get stressed due to not being able to doing stuff in time, then starting to say "That guy did nothing, he has to leave" if someone has a slower pace or less avaiable time to play.

Because seriously, the worst thing in villages is when someone who either has little time to play or simply is new around here and doesn't know how to do things efficiently tries his best yet people say he did "nothing" and he ends up getting kicked out of the village.

If we did get as far as making a village, all I'm saying is we won't kick people for doing little, as long as they have a reason. We would kick for trollish behavior and for not doing anything(not even asking what to do) while being around, however.

While I want the group to be as fun as possible, I don't want people to simply tag along with us while using what we get and doing absolutely nothing. If they do help out, even if a little, they can stay, since it's meant to be a fun place to stay, not a hardcore place where whoever plays for less than 10h a day has to leave.

@Edit: Forgot to answer borka's question. I'm 18.
