Roleplayers?

Hi again everyone,

Been playing with some good folks lately, but I am wondering... is there any roleplayers in this game?

I mean, the game is fun, but adding roleplay to it would prevent me from getting bored too quickly.

I am open to any story/background, may it be a clan of vampires, an empire, an army, a band of nomads... anything that would allow me to get into a character.

What exactly do you propose? Forum storytelling? Or in-game community (where, how, I don't really think that's possible)? For me RP in-game is something natural but since the community is so hostile it's risky to RP with any valuable characters. But I actualy did RP in my last village and the settlers around me kinda played along without any idea of doing that ^^ Currently I have fun with newbs/harmless settlers along the way when I'm mapping. Last time someone helped me find a pair of slippers I "lost" doing my scouting.

Another fact is - this community has mostly no idea about RP, just read JCs post. That being said, either come up with some solid idea or let this thread be spammed with people who don't understand what you meant.

Thanks for giving me the greater picture.

Im not a fan of forum storytelling or scheduled roleplay (RP events), i agree with you that roleplay should be sporadic.

I also know not to RP on a character of any value (time invested), thats the wonder of roleplaying, you dont need to be *good at the game*.

That said, I do think that roleplay can involve justified pvp.

For those who have no idea what roleplaying is... check on wikipedia.

Since there is currently no roleplaying community, I invite anyone interested to pm me if you have ideas.

Meanwhile i will try to find an interesting concept involving preferably 2 or more groups.

PS: When i say vampire, i am not thinking Twilight, but more vampire the masquerade (yeah im old school).

i always hear of a roleplaying community popping up every world. you may wanna try looking harder.
