hey, what do you mean by "experienced"? to know how to play the game or to have a character with a lot of experience? I am 23, know the game pretty well by now and have a lot of time but my hermiting character got killed in an accident a week ago. however, if I start a new character, I should be able to hunt boars and bears from a boat in just a few days. a low survival shouldnt be a problem if others butcher the corpses.

Huh. Well this is interesting. I joined this village and told this recruiter, the chieftain, that I would join, but I would be busy for two weeks to write multiple major papers, then have a week of finals. So, two weeks later right before finals, I log in and get killed for leeching, such as the first person who responded to this thread.

I was knocked unconscious and given the choice to come back into the village, only because another player intervened, and I accepted. However I was then killed. Maybe I should have saved the chat. Too late now.

This is an odd village. The villagers are nice, yet they also seem to be murderous of their own people. I can't say whether or not to join these guys or avoid them. I suppose avoid, if they've killed two villagers within the same month. Very strange.

Commence hearing other side of the story. I suppose making a nice conversation out of a life and death situation I was in will be the blame. Cheekiness, or some such. Anyway...

Im only going to comment on this once.

First of all, you are the only one who has been killed. The only other villager who has ever died was Wiserain who used to xroad only to get aggro'd by a bear and die.

As for you, you have been found guilty of annoying other villagers with pretty much everything that came out of your mouth.
Even after giving you multipul jobs you insist you have nothing to do time after time.
Together with not contributing and only using our curios and food we found that your character belongs to us, so we killed your character and took what is ours.

If you wernt annoying, you woulnt have been killed.
If you contributed you would only be exiled.
If you wernt annoying and contributed we would be besteststs friends in the whole world.

Okay, let's use our brains here. This is the only statement I should have to use: Before joining the village I announced that I would be very busy for 2-3 weeks, and that I would not be able to contribute much until after that time. I was accepted in anyway. In two weeks I have written 38 pages, plus other things such as other classes, a job, and a life. I said this more than once to many people of the village. This is all the defense I should need.

In additional to that already unbreakable defense, I will throw in that I had been helping for the little time that I had been on, with bringing in blueberries/chantrelles and changing out leather in the tubs. I was told to be a cook, but when I tried I was told no. I was told to be a farmer, when I tried I was told no. I tried foraging, but was told we already have two, so no. I said I would like to help in any way, but I was never given any options. Furthermore, for the millionth time, I said I would like a job but would be unable until I was done with the very hectic IRL few weeks.

Lastly, I must say that no one said a single word this entire time. No one said "Truth, it seems you haven't been on much. We have many villagers so it costs a lot of food and curiosities, we need you to help a bit more or eat/study less", with which I would have responded "I'm sorry, I'll try to use less resources, but I will not be able to help until winter break, which I have told you three times or more." Instead I log in and get immediately killed without discussion. No one talked to me, no one tried to exile me from the village, I was murdered. (I wasn't even wearing armor because I hadn't taken any because I didn't want to waste it until I was done with finals and had more time. Ironic). I was killed for being busy IRL (and some weird perceived attitude problem. I was very talkative and friendly in village chat).

Overall it was a very rash and pretty childish move on your part. You had the power, you were mad for either unreasonable purposes or just cranky that day, and you used it on one of your own villagers. I felt bad for you that you had three of your characters killed because of what you did to your last villager. Now I can see that you probably deserved it.


Avoid this village at all costs, unless you intend to raid it. They're certainly raiding other newbies in the area (in the northwest), and killing their own villages in spasms of strange rage... I feel sorry for any of those new villagers who get busy IRL or eat the wrong blueberry.
