Haha! Yesterday while Pontus was on, I found a boat on a random shoreline, near a crate of exotic (for semi-noobs) goodies. I brought it back through lift teleportation, and we used the boat to raid a partially unclaimed farming settlement. Now we have a small amount of farmland, quite a few cupboards, and some farm-related stuff. None of it is claimed yet, but my next goal is Yeomanry. So, no, it's not a town yet, and it's not claimed, but will be very, very soon, and we have a boat, not just a timber house.
