That's just not true. Reputation is important for everyone in this game. We have no system beyond our trust for one another in terms of everything. It's not even something you have to actively seek, those that do their jobs well develop a reputation even if it's only in whispers. For those that have accepted challenges though, to back out of them and promise ever more is not something considered useful or reliable.
As for aiming for an important kill; don't aim for an old player or a monster of a player. Seriously, it's a bad start. Even with everything pulled to your favor, aiming for a player who knows how to fight better than your entire society combined will mean lots of casualties and no results. As for old, experienced players -- we've learned how to not die. We've learned how not to die very well even. Just in case we do die, we've generally set up contingencies to alleviate losses and to prepare for a swift recovery. It's like killing a combat character from Pande or RUA in w5 -- they've got another one built up and ready on the side to replace them. So even if you're successful you've dealt them no blow.
Just flex your muscle to get the keys from a keyalt. You're done. You've eliminated the most valuable target in a blooming village and essentially wiped them out. Not only have you demonstrated that you have muscle but that you know how to use it. I know people who've wiped out raiders and factions in a matter of hours with these shenanigans. I've got blood on my hands because of these shenanigans.
Come on, you can do it!
