(I'm) Looking for a Village!

Hmmmm..experience..

W3 or 4: I was a member of Odditown. Though I didn't get much outta that. We mostly just dicked around. :\ I was more or less a pet hermit that was a part of the village but lived outside it? I was a hunter/crafter. This was back when making a shitton of baskets got you LP. Though I quit right when they nerfed the slings.

W5: I was in Yggdrasil for about two days before it was raided and destroyed. I don't exactly call it a bad experience, nor a good one. Didn't do much because everyone was telling me something different, as I was confused in this new curio based world.

Went on with some ex-Yggies, Seren Elder and Emesria, and had an interesting time with them as we started up the village of Jhelom, right under (quite literally) Vigilance's group. Enjoyed being Chieftain, hunting, crafting, farming via alt since our farmer was a lazy twit. Then me and Eme quit due to our lazy-ass villagers.

I don't like leading. I do like being independent. I like to take a small percentage from the village at the beginning to get myself started then as I grow, take less and less, while giving more and more. I've absolutely NO experience as a metalworker/miner. All my life in this game I've either farmed, hunted, crafted, or cooked.

How would you take less and less while giving more and more?
Seems more logical everyone gives more and takes more, or you'll end up only building storage.

I take, such as food and curios, what I cannot make myself and give what my respective career choice allows me to produce for said village.

Ex: I take a curio, use it to invest more exploration, then find two others, give the two to the village storage. Repeat until I'm giving much more than I'm taking.

Nice idea, but in the end you'll want a full study as well. If you are forager for curios, you can fill your study and supply, but then you need food from the others. The bottom line is you cant do all yourself (not efficiently anyway) and shouldnt try to.

Edit: Not remembering which worlds you were where isnt a good thing imo.

It's more like, something I always do than an idea. I know I can't be a cook, a farmer, a hunter, AND everything else without a good supply of alts. Which I don't plan to do. I plan to take what I need, and give all I can. That's the only way a village can grow, in my opinion. Also, I explained that I'd be giving back "what my respective career choice" allows me to.

I'm just looking to be a helpful member of some little society ^^

Lastly, I don't remember if it was W3 or W4, but it was most likely W4 because I think that is when the slings got nerfed. It was my first time playing and back when I didn't do much forum lurking or anything, not to mention it didn't last very long, so I don't remember alot from then.

I don't think he's saying that he wants to be a jack of all trades. he's basically stating he would expect the village he joins to get him on his feet, but then when he soars he's gonna pay the village back in 10 fold

I don't really expect to lean on the village entirely when I get there. That just seems unfair. I'll do the best I can while attempting to be as less of a hindrance as I can be.
