Village of Hermits: A long winded village thread

Postby Minion » Tue Apr 03, 2012 3:30 am

Greetings and Salutations.

Hermits are you tired of living alone and afraid of shadows? Do you find yourself wondering in the dead of night if only you had friends? But once that thought passes by you are immediately hit with "I don’t like to share my stuff... its mine, my precious." Or are simply against all these communist societies populating Haven and Hearth. (<-- Just playing trolls, don't go raging)

What we offer you as a collective of hermits:
1. Friends. You know deep down you always wanted one.. no don't lie.
2. The beginnings of a brick wall... well kind of. We are collecting bricks atm. So it depends on the number of people who want to try this form of living.
3. Trading among your fellow hermits. Think Capitalism.
4. A noob friendly environment. <-- Everyone should start as a hermit to learn the game. This is the next step. Hermits with Friends.
5. Your privacy.

What we as a collective of hermits won’t offer you:
1. That whole one for all, and all for the Village business.
2. You can grow and prosper on your own back. Not others.
3. Slavery.
4. Black Skills - Protection from Rangers hunting your scent. If you get caught raiding/killing and they track you to ours I will invite them in and probably help them. So either don’t get caught or don’t do it.

What we got:
High quality resources..........nope
Brickwall..........................nope
Strength in arms................nope
However:
Raids on us......................none
Population of area.............sparse
Surrounded by Factions........nope (well no more than everyone else) :D

Who already lives in the village:
1 hermit team. (ME and a friend)
1 lone hermit
And a possible hermit team, in the area of the village thinking of moving in.
Currently looking for 2 or 3 other Hermits/Teams.

What we are looking for: My preferences and open for discussion
Hermit teams like us.
Lone Hermits
Specialists; i.e. farmers/hunters/gathers/lumberjacks
We can set you up in a smaller area and let you concentrate on a single task and you can trade the results to others.
A group of people that just like to go hunting and foraging. <-- These types of hermits are always welcome.
Willingness to give a hand in a tight spot. i.e. "Oh no.. someone is building a ram. Come help KILL THEM ALL!!!" <-- that sort of thing.
English speaking. At least coherently.

Lastly, a final note.
Yes you will probably die with us. We are not good, or even reasonable at this game. But we are Geeks and have epic wiki skills.
We are simply trying to find friends/other hermits who would like some fellow hermits around.

PM me the following please.
Name: <-- Always a good start
Age: <-- Doesn’t really matter, just be aware that I curse a lot.
Character Details: <-- Are you an existing hearthling? If so what stats. (Not important, just curious)
Time Zone or Country <-- Frankly I don’t care just curious.
Time spent in Game <-- Wow me with your dedication
H&H History: <-- Worlds and previous villages. Just a rough outline.
Black Skills <-- If you use them and when.
Something entertaining <-- I am at work and need a good giggle.

Additional Bits and Pieces.
Do you use Skype/gtalk/some such chat program.
If not, do you own an mic and are competent enough to sign up to some such program?

And lastly, probably the most important piece of information you can provided:
What is your stance on the increased salmon migration south due to the deformation of bamboo forests in china by the red pandas and thus the resulting increase in population of heffalumps and woozles moving into the vacant homes of the salmon.?

Good luck on it. :D
People are capable of kindness angels can only dream of, yet can commit sins that put demons to shame.

Hehe, sounds a bit like what I'm doing... but I'm going all gypsy with it. Settling down somewhere just long enough to get myself a wagon and a cow, then it's off to hit every corner of the world.

How do you expect to cross rivers? O.o

Is it possible to carry 4 raft pieces in a wagon? Ah right, never mind! Haha.

Still going to be a pain in the arse it is.

Easy, I won't. The supergrids all still have borders that at most have a river that ends at it, but most have a nice wide gap between them. I see cutting down a nice path of trees and stumping them, but that's likely the worst I"ll have to face.

I wish you well on your tour of the world. However, I doubt you will survive that long, do you?

Doesn't matter if I survive or not, so long as I have fun on the journey.
