Anor Londo Recruiting (Farmers, Foragers)

Postby Federico » Sun Jul 15, 2012 7:00 am

I am currently recruiting more players for my village. There's already a brickwall, storage buildings, cattle and I have plenty of place and resources available. I replaced the CRs that the previous LS spammed signs of (Because he was just "testing" them).

Permissions into certain areas are handled via claim alts to prevent theft, vandalism and other crimes.

Fresh spawns will sleep in public buildings. Already established players will be given a property/strongbox where to store their valuables. We also have an extremely large area to expand into and large inland hunting grounds.

Common curiosities (Poppy Flowers, Dandelions, Cone Cows...) will be shared, the ones requiring labor (Straw Dolls, Seer's Tea Leaves, Abacuses...) will be rewarded to those who do their jobs and the rarest (Flotsams, Pearls, Strange Beetroots, Woodshavings...) belong to those who find them.

We've got both wine and beer but I will have to trust that you will use beds too.

Requirements:

¤Being able to use modded clients.
¤Knowing how to use Crossroads (No "GIB KEY")
¤Maturity.
¤Doing your job without being told to.
¤You must be willing to learn.
¤You must be able to cooperate.
¤Regular activity - Playing an hour every day to do your task or check the steel is fine...

Farmers, the only exception to this requirement, are able to go away until the crops which they're assigned to are ready to be harvested.

Scents:

Outside, you are only allowed to use trespassing, otherwise don't leave a single scent unless you're allowed to.

For scents inside our walls:
Trespassing - You either went into a forbidden area by accident or you went around looking for something to steal. Punishment will vary according to where the scents were left and frequency.
Theft - I don't like criminal scum. For the first incident, you will return the item and be forced to give something of your own.
Vandalism - You will have something of your property destroyed that's more valuable than the stuff you broke and you will be exiled for two days.
Battery - Everything you own will be taken away and you will be exiled for four days.
Murder - Perpetrator will be killed and have all what it owned taken away.

Exceptions will be made, for example, villagers will not be punished for shooting a hostile outside or when killing hostile alts spawning inside the walls.

Duties:

Worker:
They perform basic tasks the skilled villagers aren't supposed to perform (Instead of AFKing and eating curiosities at 120% LA). Fresh spawns will be assigned this job. Once they've got enough LA and are full Ind/Nat (For farmer or miner) can choose which job they want to take.
The first task they have is the simple filling of tanning tubs in order to get leather for a backpack, shoes and armor. I will provide the hides.

Everyone has to fuel the steel crucibles.

Miners (I do this shit myself):
They gather ore from our various nodes (I've found Iron, Tin and Copper) and explore for other nodes. They're in charge of steel making and, when important enough, able to decide on what to use it. They require Trespassing to enter claimed mineholes and caves.
Will increase their STR and UC, Smithing.

Hunters:
They hunt in groups, either by boat or foot, providing important resources to the village. Must avoid committing crimes so they can place HFs in the open without worrying of a disconnect in order to bring more animals. Expected to assist soldiers when we're under attack.
Raises some basic SURV/EXP aswell combat skills/stats.
depending on the weapon they use:
Ranged: PER and MM, 40 UC
Melee: STR and UC/MC.

Forager (Please pick this job):
Dedicated to foraging curiosities, some more valuable than others, also able to kill animals much slower than a Hunter but can carry more items.
Raises PER, EXP, MM, SURV.

Farmers (Or this one):
Assigned to a pair of crops, can pick a profession of their choice. They're allowed to go away until their crops are ready for the next harvest.
Increases Farming. Will be taught how to farm (I Can't into pro-farming) if you lack the previous experience.
Can become professionals (Tailor, Chef, Cheese maker) and raise other stats/skills.

Soldiers:
They help to maintain the peace, are in charge of escorting other villagers at the wilderness, issued with the best weapons and armor that I can make , sparring with each other regularly to practice.
Must consider that "Losing is Fun".
They help ramming down walls, light up smelters and other very small tasks.
Increases stats/skills based on their weapons, much like hunters do.
Ranged: PER and MM, a base of 60 UC
Melee: STR and UC/MC.

Keep in mind the following:
To get a traveller's sack you will have to tan the leather, again, I will supply the hides.
I will try to keep a steady supply of Metal related curiosities.

All applications must include the following information (Can be Pmed if you want to):

Drinking 0.1 instead of the whole tankard. It's wonderful.

It was the Chieftain. I was on vacations and didn't got claim alts yet and he recruited a bunch of people in that thread.
