Mirror Lake is now accepting applications from experienced players to join our lively village (new players, please see the thread by Lusewing a few threads below this one.)

What we can offer:

Brickwalled mansions
Crops are high
Strong Trade areas and relations
Metal
High Q Animals

Mid Q clay and soil
Skype chat room always up
Message boards for easy organization
Equal number of male/female players
International village (communication is in English)

We don't raid or kill without reason (for fun is not a reason) however we are well defended with our fighters who spar regularly.

We are seeking:
Miners, Farmers, Foragers. We would not discourage the development of defensive fighter characters. We are looking for players who log in regularly and contribute to village life. We are a loyal, closely-knit group of people, and are looking for other loyal players as well.

I think a great thing about our village is that it will give you a chance to really push yourself in nearly any direction (within reason--we would not consider killing innocent people a direction, for example), with a group of funny and fantastic people at your side.

You'll notice that our village appears in more than a few forum threads. Please read them critically. Don't get yourself stuck in outdated perceptions. Villages re-create themselves from time to time and change policies as the village grows and the politics of the world change. To me it just means that your village is vibrant and that your village mates are into the game.

Personally I don't think it matters much. There are millions of other threads discussing gender issues in the game though, some that are pretty darn interesting really. I'll admit that I've probably read every line of them :] If you don't feel comfortable stating your sex then feel free to skip that part, no explanation necessary.

Your question was a little harder to answer so it's taken me a little bit longer to answer. It's a great question. The way I see it, you can be completely apolitical and be super fun to hang out with and great villager. Or you can be a cheerleader for your own faction and still kinda suck as a human. Most people would prefer the first choice as a neighbor! We are a big village and obviously have alliances and trade partners. But, no, we are not hostile towards Dis.
