Extremely New Player, looking for village

Hello there. I'm from the usa.

I hadn't heard of this game until a few hours ago. I spent that time reading new player/advice threads and tutorials, but I'm still uncertain on making a character yet. This seems like a much more difficult (and interesting) game than the standard MMO.

I would rather join an already established village so I can learn the ropes in relative safety. I'm willing to take on whatever role is needed (hunter, farmer, ect).

Apart from that, any advice would be appreciated. Which world to join, Which villages/players to avoid, current wars or conflicts, social things of that nature.

three things you should know right away:

1. There's only one world at a time ( ot in other words only one instance) - atm it's world 6
2. there's lag ( sometimes real horrible but if you're new you still can have a lot of fun in discovering HmH !)
3. The Wiki (made by players) http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Haven_and_Hearth_Wiki ( never bad to study it before doing things - always good to read if you're doing things...)

hint:
you might post your timezone, age, if you use Skype and if you like your gender - this might help villages to make decisions
