Want an employee

Postby Amanda44 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 8:29 pm

Hi,

As the title says I want an employee - I am not recruiting, you won't live in my village, but you can have a hs outside of it or build a settlement near by.

The job would be best suited to a new player.

I have recently undertaken three major projects and i'm getting no-where fast, lol, consequently I need some help. The terms of your employment would be as follows:

What I want from you:

1. At least 1/2 hours work per day - you get one day off and the rest of your time is your own.
2. Work will include; ploughing, paving, digging clay, and chopping tree's.
3. Some details about you - name, age, time zone, hnh experience.
4. A brief statement of why you would like to work for me and why I should pick you.
5. Skype is essential.

What you will get from me:

1. Payment will be in curio's, food and other items you would like to progress in game.
2. I am willing to give you help with learning the game and answer any questions you may have.
3. I will be a fair employer and if time-zones allow will often be working with you.
4. If you decide to build a settlement, I will help you with materials for construction and provide you with seeds for farming.

Finally:

I have a palli enclosed plot in my village with everything a new player would need, including; log cabin, well, farm area with all available crops, kiln, oven, smelter and a copper mine. The plot is in the process of being b/walled. If we get on and you would like to, I will let you move into it once the work has been completed. You will live there for free and do your own thing, the only condition being you will not leave summonable scents or cause any problems to my nieghbours.

If you are interested in the position please reply in thread. You can pm me your skype but I will only add you when i've made a decision.

Thank-you Amanda :)

IF you'd forget that there's possibility of getting crown/glimm/toadstool for 1 rabbit meat, wich getting takes about 7-10 minsand ppl still are too lazy to do it, then this idea is briliant.

I'd like to know how much you can give/hour work :)

Well, I thought it was a good idea, especialy for new players and with the lag, gives them experience and goodies, lol, but i've had only one pm and they wanted to move in -

As for how much i'd give, I was going to work it out with whomever I chose, as a hermit I have cupboards full of food and stuff that would be perfect for beginers, i've taken to leaving crates of foods, seeds and crafted curio's outside the village for passers by, just to save it going to waste!

And, as I told the interested player, there is a chance of the fully self-contained plot at the end of it - I know it's not set in stone but providing there were no major problems it would be theirs to do what they want with.

Anyhow, it's early days, I only put it up yesterday so i'll give it a wk and see what happens. :)

Well, I'm somewhat new here, and that offer isn't too bad; besides, I've been playing for a while by myself; It doesn't really matter to me if you want to exchange favors, or to know more people. So far I've gotten the grip of the basics; My best character so far had enough discoveries for around 1000 LP. I can't say I'm too far in the game, mainly because of the lag, but the game has been very fun so far.

I have skype, of course. As for the reasons you'd want to employ me, well, I'm willing to do my best to do whatever you'd want me to do. My reasons for joining are mainly not playing this game alone. I just want to play this with someone who wouldn't randomly loot/destroy everything I've achieved.

And well...my name is Ken, but I'm mainly known as KnightKGR online. I'm 17 years old, and my timezone is EST(GMT-5).

If for some reason you think I haven't said enough about myself, or my hnh knowledge, please let me know. I can't say I've said every single thing I've done on hnh in here, but it should hopefully give you an idea on how far I've gotten by myself.

PS: Please don't mind the fact that this is my first post in the forums. I wasn't going to use the forums at first, but since I don't want to play by myself, at least not if other people are willing to play with me, I've changed my mind and made this post.

I should have maybe said that my time is UK, I forget that new people don't know anything about me, so, depending on when you play - the 5hr difference may mean we wouldn't spend much time together. I work during the day so am mainly in game in the evenings, if you are in college or work I would be going to bed when you log on. :)

The only question I have at the moment is regarding your base - do you have one? And how established is it? For example, have you a pallisade, b/wall?
Also, you say you have been playing awhile - could you be a bit more precise, days, weeks?

It's important you understand that unless by chance you live near me, you would have to move your hf, or make a new char to do the work on, for the latter I have one prepared for you to spawn at which is outside the village but due to trust issues I am not prepared to port someone I don't know into my village on a daily basis. If you want to use your existing char I will do it once, the first time, when I will have an allied fighter there to make sure all is above board. The work you will be carrying out is outside the village. :)

I see, well...I was starting to make a house before my last post. I've gotten enough skills to make a decent base, but didn't work on it much yet, so I could "move" it to outside your village. I've been playing for a little less than a week. Around 5 days or so.

I could, of course, make a new character as well. I'm not far enough into the game to bother staying on my current character. As for when I can play...I'm free all day for now, which means I'll just have to be around when you are.

So yeah, there's no need to warp my current character into your village :) to be honest, at this rate he's going to die out of hunger, so if he dies before you reply, I'll join with his descendant. Otherwise, I'll make a character from scratch. I've made about 8 characters so far, due to trying things out, so making another wouldn't be bad for me .

@Edit: Yeah, he died, I'll be waiting on your reply :)

I have to say you sound ideal, exactly what i'm looking for. :)

There is a perfect spot close by for you to make a base, it has been cleared and there is some paving already, the previous occupants had to be moved on when they turned out to be a nuisance.

If you could just give me a couple of days i'll make a decision, i've had a couple more applications via pm, one of which i'm particularly interested in - I may have both of you, but I need to think on it first. Always cautious, lol.

As for when I can play...I'm free all day for now, which means I'll just have to be around when you are.

Only necessary initially, there is plenty to be done and once i've shown you what is needed you can get on with it without my presence. I was mainly thinking of you with regard to company and someone to play with. :)

Anyhow, i'll get back to you by tues - if not before. In the meantime i've had an idea so you can start on your char - i'll send you a pm.

2. Work will include; ploughing, paving, digging clay, and chopping tree's. Fine with that.
3. Some details about you - name, age, time zone, hnh experience. Dylan, 16, eastern, played since early world 5.
4. A brief statement of why you would like to work for me and why I should pick you. Trying to get back into the game and really have nothing to do or no one to play with.
5. Skype is essential. pm me
