Looking for hospitality

Postby _Gunnar » Mon Apr 15, 2013 12:33 pm

Everyone I ever knew is dead*.

That past life just feels like a dream now. First came the glorious Golden Age - endless caravans of pearls arriving at Wyrmhold, nearly dying on the beach defending my home, endless tunnelling and smelting of gold ore, dressing myself in the finest silk clothing and covering myself in the finest jewellery. Travelling the world in search of trade and adventure. Oceans of milk and mountains of cheese.

Little did we know of the horrors that would follow, as the Gods punished us for some unknown sin, sending the Plague of Lags among us. Wyrmhold fell slowly, as one by one we succumbed to despair. I remember being possessed somewhere around that time. My self retreated into some dark corner of my mind, and a Homicidal Maniac** took over the operation of my body.

But then the great god loftar took pity on us poor mortals, and the Dark Ages of Lag were over. My possession continued however, with only a brief moment of lucidity. I was almost grateful when assassins broke into the dark fortress where my body lay sleeping, freeing my soul from the corrupted vessel it inhabited.

Yesterday I awoke by a riverbank, naked and alone. A nearby village seemed empty. I crave the company of other hearthlings, though I worry that I will not live long - even the first Golden Age of this world was full of death, and in my current unarmoured state a moment's pause could see me struck down by an assassin's arrow.

If anyone wishes to house me, I can hunt, break palisades, forage, and do a bit of mining. I won't take more than I produce - all that I would like is a brickwalled house in which to put my hearth fire - and shared is fine. I'm very trustworthy***. Sadly I barely have any equipment, although I remember some hidden passages into the ruins of Wyrmhold, and can probably salvage what is left of that glorious civilisation****.

****I have an alt who has a bit of equipment, but it seems like someone already cleared out the actual village of Wyrmhold. After getting the equipment off the alt, I'd rather just use my main, I don't really want to play with alts again.

History: I started playing Haven early W5, derped around for a bit, joined a village called Kobol, quit that due to internal strife (nothing to do with me), founded the village of Hlidarendi, became a successful merchant, got too busy to lead it and quit, joined W6 a bit late, joined Wyrmhold, had a lot of fun with diplomacy etc there, made a lot of cheese, quit due to lag, played Salem, derped around with Vigilance, got killed by Gallows Hill, got killed by the Chief, derped around with Vigilance, got bored of Salem, came back here...

Edit: i prefer diplomacy to random violence, but i DO leave scents, and am not willing to give that up. Sorry to not have said that before.

Let's be honest, no one is welcome in Brodgar. We all just set up shop here and made it into a "village".
