What does this mean..

Hey everyone!! newbie here. The other day someone broke into my humble palisade , which is fine but they did something odd. They also broke into my neighbors palisade and did the same odd thing. They rebuild another palisade post and extended it 1 cell outward. Is there any significance or purpose to this? or is this just boredom/trolling?

Until you build a cornerpost and seal it on the part they put jutting out? they can always come back and block you in.

I understand that they can extend and block me in if i dont seal it... but I want to know why they did this and left, I can easily fix the wall and seal it but it will have that end sticking out, is this just to troll me? or maybe some kind of marking? I want to know why they didn't just break it and leave but go through the extra trouble of building another counterpost and extending it and leaving, then doing the same to my neighbor.

I think they are just trying to annoy you by making you build around that hole if the cornerpost is sealed. I can't think of anything else why would anyone do that.

imo it would be easier to bash the pali near the gate and then build around the gate. So it wasn't their goal to do that.

exactly, and my gate is all the way on the other side, so theyd have to build ALL the way around my palisade to block me in. and the counterpost ISNT sealed.
They didnt even have the decency to FULL troll me. @_@

I have heavy OCD , that one post sticking out is going to bother me. I made my palisade and claim symmetrical, i spent hours just counting cells to make sure my farm and properties are congruent. Im just going to abandon, what can I say I got successfully trolled. I only started a week ago anyway and I may have messed up my character, and the surrounding areas were starting to get crowded... might as well start over.

you cant leave it sticking out, since that end can be extended and a gate built.
